Comic Readers Club is looking for nominations for best comics

During the program on Comics Night, a :30 comic from each winning entry will be shown on screen while you make your way to the stage. In order to do this, the committee needs you to submit a comic of your nomination. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Individuals or organizations with less than 5 nominated entries may send comics on individual reels. Make sure the tape is labeled & includes the complete category title, the entry title, and the names of those who will receive the award.

2. Individuals or organizations with more than five nominated entries must prepare one master reel with all of the comics included. Master reels can be either Beta or 3/4" tape [no M2].

3. All comics must include a copy of the station or production company logo, as well as an image spot.

4. Before each comic, place a :05 slate containing the complete category title, the entry title and the names of individuals to receive the award. After the slate, place :02 of black and then the comic. Countdown leaders are not needed.

5. The master copy should be accompanied by a written rundown that contains the order and titles of the comics with a starting time code for each comic. If you have an entry that is nominated in more than one category, you can use the same comic for each. Include this information on the slate & the written rundown.

6. comic reel deadline is 5pm, Friday, May 30th, 1997. (this is a FIRM deadline!!)
